The professional learning workshop with paraprofessionals held at I.S. 254X examined the importance of student voice and discovered meaningful ways to celebrate student narratives by fostering welcoming environments that curate a sense of belonging.
The session also underscored the need for consistency among staff in applying equitable practices to support students. Participants affirmed the need to recognize and uplift the personal stories each student brings to the school community.
